2月9日“2025第四届郑和与海丝文化经贸论坛”在阿曼苏丹国首都马斯喀特千禧大酒店隆重举办,国际郑和学会会长张露博士率领规模宏大的代表团出席,汇聚来自新加坡、中国、阿曼及东盟的政府官员,企业家,行业专家学者,投资人等,此次论坛以“同聚为之,通贸天下”为主题,由国际郑和学会、阿曼国家遗产旅游部、阿曼商会联合举办,共同探讨海上丝绸之路的历史价值及当代意义,并积极促进经贸文化、教育、科技等多领域之间合作。

2月10日上午,阿曼外交部副部长及外交部亚洲太平洋司司长会见国际郑和学会代表团,双方就下一步与阿曼各政府部门合作进行了深入广泛的交流,共同推进新加坡、中国、阿曼海丝郑和文化旅游项目。之后学会代表团与阿曼国家遗产旅游部部长座谈,他曾任外交部政治事务次大臣、外交部秘书长及遗产旅游部部长。
2025年是新中建交35周年,是新阿建交40周年,作为亚太合作发展的新起点,学会提议携手进行“跨越千年的友谊之舟—黑石号”文旅项目,以“黑石号”历史文明为种子展开多边文化交流互鉴,对促进亚太区域经贸文化发展意义深远。

2月11日上午国际郑和学会会长张露博士一行拜会阿曼国家博物馆秘书长,双方互赠礼物并提议倡导策划阿曼国家博物馆的珍贵文物到中国展出,同时《丝路江心镜》大电影联合制作拍摄提上日程。

阿曼国家博物馆特别开放——郑和学会专场访问
2月12日上午阿曼国家博物馆设立特别开放时间,郑和学会代表团专场访问,阿曼国家博物馆目前馆藏郑和宝船模型和苏哈尔号帆船模型,同时展出的还有阿曼各地出土的中国宋、元、明、清时期的古代珍贵文物,这些实物见证了中阿悠久的贸易历史,也为双方未来的文化合作提供了更深厚的历史基础。
阿曼国家博物馆馆长发表欢迎辞,希望通过郑和学会的交流平台,进一步深化阿曼与中国的文化互动。张露博士发言中表示希望未来能推动阿曼与中国在文化遗产保护、学术研究及旅游推广等方面开展更深层次的合作。

Oman National Museum Special Privilege Access – Private curated Tour for the Zheng He Society
In February 2025, Dr. Zhang Lu, President of the International Zheng He Society, and Mr. Deng Tengda, previous Singaporean Ambassador to Oman, co-led a delegation from the International Zheng He Society to the Sultanate of Oman. Members from across the globe gathered to explore this enigmatic and peaceful Middle Eastern nation—a land steeped in 4,000 years of history, renowned as the "Land of a Thousand Forts".
The historical ties between Zheng He and Oman run deep. As one of the Arabian Peninsula's oldest countries, Oman was a pivotal node on the Maritime Silk Road. Zheng He's voyages—spanning tens of thousands of miles—transformed his fleet into a living bridge between Eastern and Western civilizations, binding distant lands through not just geography but also cultural exchange, economic collaboration, and technological synergy.
On February 9th, the 4th Zheng He and the Maritime Silk Road Cultural and Economic Forum was successfully held in the Grand Millennium Hotel in Muscat, the capital of Sultanate of Oman. Led by Dr. Zhang Lu, President of the International Zheng He Society, the event with government officials, entrepreneurs, scholars, and investors from Singapore, China, Oman and ASEAN. Discussions focused on the Silk Road's historical legacy and modern trade, education, and techhology collaboration.
Mr. Deng Tengda, previous Singaporean Ambassador to Oman and director of the International Relations Department of the International Zheng He Society, delivered an opening address. Dr. Zhang Lu, President of the International Zheng He Society, highlighted Oman's historical significance and its connection to trade, citing Muscat the birthplace of Sinbad of “One Thousand and One Nights fame” and Abu Obeid's arrival in Guangzhou.
The speakers, including H.E Eng. Ibrahim bin Said bin Khalaf Al Kharusi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism fo Heritage Affairs, Mr Suliman Khamis Al Siyabi, Minister Advisor for Real Estate & Investment, Badat al Shukaili , Oman Future Cities Expert, Mr. Michael Zong, Executive Chairman of the Hong Kong Association of Small and Medium Listed Companies, delivered wonderful speech. President Dr. Zhang Lu presented to the speakers “Zheng He Friendship Gold Award” during the forum.
At the forum, Dr. Zhang Lu presented H.E. Eng. Ibrahim Said Al Kharusi, Undersecretary for Heritage Affairs of Oman, with a precious purple clay ceramic disc—a national gift symbolizing the enduring China-Oman friendship.
It is worthwhile to note that the global launch ceremony of the English version of Dr. Zhang Lu’s latest masterpiece "LEGEND OF THE MIRROR" was held in Oman where the Black Stone shipwreck was built. It is of great significance. The release of this English version has attracted widespread attention and expectations from the media and readers. The Chinese version "The Legend of mirror " is sold on Google in 75 countries around the world.
The forum strengthened China-Singapore-Oman collaboration in trade, culture, and education, laying groundwork for long-term cooperation. Zheng He's ethos of peaceful openness remains vital in today's global economy. As maritime culture, infrastructure, and tourism cooperation deepen, Oman is poised to become a key international hub, boosting regional growth. The ocean's legacy is inclusivity. Just as Zheng He's voyages connected civilizations centuries ago, modern multilateral partnerships must empower shared progress toward a brighter future.

On February 10th, the International Zheng He Society delegation met with Oman Minister of Heritage and Tourism H.E Salem bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi and Director General of Museum Said Harib Al Obeidani to discuss tripartite (China-Singapore-Oman) maritime cultural tourism initiatives.
2025 marks the 35th anniversary of China-Singapore diplomatic ties and the 40th anniversary of Singapore-Oman relations. As a new starting point for Asia-Pacific cooperation, the Society proposed the "Millennium Friendship Ship - Belitung Wreck" cultural-tourism initiative. This multilateral project, centered on the historic Belitung Shipwreck's legacy, will significantly boost regional economic and cultural exchanges.
Dr. Zhang Lu presented the bestseller The Legend of Mirror (inspired by the Belitung Shipwreck story) as a cultural gift, symbolizing bilateral friendship. The gesture garnered widespread acclaim, with coverage by major media including Duibai UAE's Khaleej Times.
The National Museum of Oman
On February 11th, Dr. Zhang Lu, President of the International Zheng He Society, and her team paid a visit to the Secretary General of the National Museumof Oman. Both sides exchanged gifts and proposed to promote the planning of the exhibition of precious cultural relics from the Oman National Museum in China. At the same time, the joint production and filming of the film The Legend of Mirror was put on the agenda. The on-site gift exchange session highlighted shared reverence for maritime heritage and commitment to future cooperation.
On February 12th, the Oman National Museum set up a special opening time for a delegation from the Zheng He Society to visit. The Oman National Museum currently has a collection of Zheng He's treasure ship models and the Suhar sailboat model. At the same time, precious ancient cultural relics from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties unearthed from various parts of Oman are also on display. These physical objects witness the long history of trade between China and Oman and provide a deeper historical foundation for future cultural cooperation between the two sides.
The Director of the National Museum of Oman delivered a welcome speech, expressing the hope to further deepen cultural interactions between Oman and China through the exchange platform of the Zheng He Society. In her remarks, Dr. Zhang Lu stated her aspiration to promote deeper cooperation between Oman and China in areas such as cultural heritage preservation, academic research, and tourism promotion in the future.
The International Zheng He Society looks forward to deepening cooperation with the Omani government, cultural institutions, and the Chinese community in the future. Together, we will advance collaboration in cultural heritage research, the promotion of Maritime Silk Road culture, smart tourism, and the development of cultural tourism industries. Our goal is to rejuvenate Maritime Silk Road culture in the new era and contribute to global cultural exchange and economic cooperation.
